The remotely controlled anti-tank mine fuse NV-PTM-RC is designed to be used with the TM-62M, TM-62P3 and our own produced ATM-01-series of anti-tank mines.
The fuse incorporates an explosive formed projectile (EFP) charge which penetrates the belly armor of the target vehicle and trigger the explosion of the mine charge. On activation, a clearing charge removes the camouflage layer above the fuse prior to the EFP-detonation. Penetration capability is over 50 mm of armored steel.
The NV-PTM-RC uses combined acoustic, seismic and electromagnetic sensors to identify its target and to activate the fuse at the exact moment when the armored vehicle is above the fuse. It has a built-in anti-removal protection that activates it when an attempt is made to move or dismantle them from the mine.
The fuse NV-PTM-RC can be remotely activated and deactivated multiple times by a Command Unit with bidirectional radio link, with safety guaranteed by the built-in electro-mechanical lock of the explosive train, thus allowing to make safe passage in the minefield. The Command Unit allows the user to:
- check the status of the fuse from a distance;
- activate/deactivate single fuses, groups of fuses or all of them;
- use information coding in order to increase the resistance to radio connection jamming and to reduce to a minimum the risk of accidental activation;
- perform a detonation on command;
- control up to 50 anti-tank mines by one Command Unit.
The fuse is currently under modernization.
